Nutrition, Not Diagnosis

SIBO & IBS Nutrition Support

If you've been diagnosed with SIBO or IBS by your medical provider, this page explains how our nutrition and lifestyle programs fit — and where they stop. We don't diagnose or manage these conditions. We support the nutrition and lifestyle side, alongside the care your doctor provides.

What SIBO and IBS are

SIBO (small intestinal bacterial overgrowth) and IBS (irritable bowel syndrome) are conditions your medical provider diagnoses and manages. SIBO involves an overgrowth of bacteria in the small intestine, often tested and addressed with medical care. IBS is a functional digestive condition defined by patterns of symptoms. Both belong in the hands of a qualified healthcare provider for diagnosis and management.

If you suspect you have one of these conditions but haven't been diagnosed, the right first step is your doctor — not a program like ours. We can help with the nutrition and lifestyle layer once you know what you're working with.

Where we fit

Once your medical provider is involved, our programs can support the day-to-day nutrition and habit side of how you feel. That often looks like: steadier meal timing, a gentler food rhythm that's easier to tolerate, awareness of common trigger foods, more regular movement, stress reduction, and sleep support — all of which can influence how digestion feels alongside medical care.

We don't prescribe a medical diet, and we don't replace the guidance of the provider managing your condition. Think of us as the structure and accountability for the lifestyle choices your doctor would likely encourage.

Why nutrition and lifestyle matter here

Even with medical care in place, how you eat day to day shapes how you feel. Regular meals, adequate fiber introduced gradually, hydration, and stress awareness can all support more predictable digestion. Supplement guidance — when appropriate and cleared with your provider — can support gut-lining nutrition and normal digestion.

Working alongside your medical provider

This bears repeating: please keep your doctor in the loop. If you're on medication, have an active care plan, or are being evaluated, share what you're doing with us so it fits with — not against — your medical care. Our role is educational nutrition and lifestyle support, full stop.
